Privacy Policy
How Moment collects, uses, and protects your information.
Last updated: July 27, 2026
The Layson Group LLC (“Moment,” “we,” “us”) operates the Moment platform at withmoment.io, a software service for real estate agents, teams, and brokerages. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have.
Information we collect
- Account information — name, email address, phone number, brokerage or team affiliation, and role, provided when an account is created.
- Contact and client records — information our customers enter or import about their own clients and prospects, which may include names, phone numbers, email addresses, and property addresses.
- Transaction and business data — listings, appointments, documents, commission records, and related activity created while using the platform.
- Usage data — log data, device and browser information, and feature usage, used to operate and improve the service.
Mobile information and SMS messaging
Moment uses SMS to deliver service and operational messages such as appointment confirmations and reminders, showing and scheduling updates, document and signature notifications, and account alerts. Mobile phone numbers and SMS consent records are used solely to deliver these messages and are never sold, rented, or shared for third-party marketing.
We share mobile numbers only with the communications providers that transmit messages on our behalf (for example, our SMS carrier and delivery infrastructure), strictly for the purpose of delivering the messages you have consented to receive. These providers are contractually prohibited from using the information for their own marketing.
You can opt out of SMS at any time by replying STOP to any message. Reply HELP for assistance, or contact us at contact@laysongroup.com. Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply. Full messaging terms are described in our Terms of Service.
How we use information
- To provide, maintain, and secure the platform and its features.
- To send transactional and service communications by email and SMS, including appointment and document notifications.
- To generate the reports, briefings, and content our customers request within the product.
- To provide customer support and respond to inquiries.
- To comply with legal obligations and enforce our agreements.
We do not sell personal information, and we do not use client contact data to market our own products to our customers’ clients.
How information is shared
- Service providers — infrastructure, database, email, SMS, e-signature, and analytics vendors that process data on our behalf under contract.
- Within a customer’s organization — data entered by a team or brokerage is accessible to authorized members of that organization according to their assigned role.
- Legal requirements — when required by law, regulation, subpoena, or to protect the rights and safety of users and the public.
- Business transfers — in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, subject to this policy.
Data retention and security
We retain information for as long as an account is active or as needed to provide the service and meet legal, accounting, or reporting obligations. We use industry-standard safeguards including encryption in transit, access controls, and role-based permissions. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Your choices and rights
- Access, correct, or request deletion of your account information by contacting us.
- Opt out of SMS at any time by replying STOP; opt out of marketing email using the unsubscribe link.
- Request a copy of the personal information associated with your account.
Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under laws such as the California Consumer Privacy Act. To exercise any of these rights, contact us at contact@laysongroup.com.
Children’s privacy
The service is intended for business use by real estate professionals and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13.
